Co-opercussion (Sextet)

$16.00

Co-opercussion is written in two, giving it a lively feel. Although there are 1st and 2nd endings to navigate, this piece is limited to quarter and paired eighth notes and quarter and half rests. The two snare drum parts are featured in an “accompanied duet” from measures 17 to 25. Beginning at measure 33, the sextet starts in unison followed by the snare drummers switching between striking the drum’s surface and clicking their sticks together. The cowbell gets to shine a bit as well. Most of Co-opercussion is performed forte, with the middle section – measures 17 to 29 – performed mezzo piano. All players are kept busy throughout and there is double-duty for the cowbell/triangle part.
